One of Judy's favourites has three pull-out removable hampers under a quick fold spot, a 48″ brass rod and white-washed wood counters. Another raises the washer and dryer on cabinetry with cubbies for baskets underneath.

Laundry rooms and mudrooms: questions homeowners ask
Can you add storage around a front-loading washer and dryer?
Yes. Options include raising the machines on a cabinet base with push-out shelves or cubbies underneath, and running a counter over front-loaders as a folding surface.
What goes in a good mudroom?
A bench to sit on, hooks for coats and bags, a tall cabinet for the things that shouldn't be on show, and a place for shoes. The mix depends on how many people come through and what they carry.
Can a laundry room be stylish?
Yes. One project uses white cabinets, brass hardware, a brass hanging rod and white-washed wood counters with a clear lacquer finish.
Do you do small laundry closets too?
Yes. The same ideas, hampers, a folding surface, a rod and upper storage, scale down to a closet.
